About us
Franchiserechner is a Swiss health-insurance comparison based on the official premium data of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH). Here you can read who is behind the service, how it is financed and by which rules we compare.
Who operates the Franchiserechner
Franchiserechner.ch is a service of Bartuma Solutions (sole proprietorship, owner Joel Bartuma), based in 8187 Weiach ZH, Switzerland. The company is entered in the commercial register of the Canton of Zurich (UID CHE-445.522.610, reg. no. CH-020-1106838-1) and listed in FINMA's register of insurance intermediaries (reg. no. F01574567).
For the intermediation of compulsory basic insurance (KVG), Bartuma Solutions is an insurance intermediary within the meaning of Art. 19a of the Health Insurance Supervision Act (KVAG); the supervisory authority for this activity is the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH).
What the calculator does – and what our team does
The calculator is an information service: it compares the official FOPH premiums for your profile (postal code, year of birth, deductible, accident cover, model) and shows the break-even between deductible levels. It does not provide individual insurance, legal or financial advice.
Only when you request a free offer does our team get in touch, discuss your result personally and – if you wish – organise the switch including the cancellation. Contact happens exclusively at your request.
How the comparison is financed
The comparison is free and non-binding for you. If a switch of basic insurance is concluded through our intermediation, the insurer pays us an intermediation compensation; for basic insurance this is capped industry-wide at CHF 70 per insured person and has no effect on your premium – basic-insurance premiums are approved by the regulator, with or without an intermediary.
The rules we compare by
The comparison shows the premiums of all insurers contained in the official FOPH publication for your premium region – sorted by price only (per insurer, the cheapest tariff of the selected model). No insurer pays for a better position, and the intermediation compensation does not influence the ranking.
Transparency about the quote phase: our team can only arrange binding quotes and policies with insurers we cooperate with. The comparison itself, however, always shows the whole market according to the FOPH data – including insurers we cannot broker for.
What happens to your data
Your details are used solely to handle your request: never sold, never shared with third parties for advertising; we transmit application data to an insurer only at your request. The privacy policy governs the details.
