What data we process
Contact data you provide (first name, last name, e-mail, phone) plus any voluntary comments in the request form (e.g. preferred language or reachability).
Calculator inputs (postal code, year of birth, deductible, accident coverage, current premium or insurer, preferred model).
The calculated savings snapshot, your language, marketing attribution (UTM parameters, referrer) and timestamps.
Your consent as proof of agreement (versioned wording and timestamp).
For a prenatal-registration request (“expecting parents”): contact data, postal code and – voluntarily – the expected due date plus your comments. These requests are not stored in our database; they are transmitted as an e-mail to our mailbox (with the consent wording and timestamp as proof).
Technical data required to operate the site securely (server logs, rate-limiting data).
We process health data only in the context of prenatal registration: pregnancy-related details (e.g. the expected due date) are sensitive personal data; we process them only with your express consent and solely to handle your request. The premium calculator itself does not ask for any health data.
Purposes
Calculating the premium comparison and your savings potential.
Contacting you about health-insurance offers and providing the requested advice – only with your consent.
Sending you a copy of your results by e-mail if you requested it.
Operating, securing and improving the Service (aggregated, cookieless usage statistics).
Measuring advertising performance (which ad led to a visit or an enquiry) and building advertising audiences on the Google and Meta platforms – only with your consent to the «Marketing» category and without transmitting your contact details.
Recipients
We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for their own advertising. Advice is provided by our own team. Only if you decide to apply for a policy do we transmit the necessary application data to the insurer of your choice.
Technical service providers process data on our behalf as processors, bound by data-processing agreements: Infomaniak Network SA, Switzerland (hosting and e-mail delivery); Supabase (database and authentication; data centre in Zurich, Switzerland; US provider).
Only with your consent via the cookie notice, additional recipients are involved: Plausible Analytics (cookieless usage statistics; EU hosting) for the «Statistics» category, and Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Ads conversion measurement) plus Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Meta/Facebook pixel) for the «Marketing» category.
Cross-border disclosure
Our database is located in Zurich (Switzerland) and e-mails are sent via Infomaniak in Switzerland; provider-side support access (Supabase) may involve disclosure to the USA. If you have consented to the «Marketing» category, Google (Google LLC) and Meta (Meta Platforms, Inc.) may also process data in the USA. Such transfers are based on the providers' data-processing terms, which incorporate the EU standard contractual clauses (SCC) with Swiss addenda.
Retention
Lead data is deleted or anonymised at the latest 24 months after the last contact, unless you request deletion earlier or a longer statutory retention period applies (e.g. 10 years for accounting records, Art. 958f OR). Consent records are retained as long as required as proof.
Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 25 FADP), data portability (Art. 28 FADP), rectification (Art. 32 FADP), deletion, and to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
To exercise your rights, contact: info@franchiserechner.ch
You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC/EDÖB).
Cookies, consent and analytics
For your language preference we set one technically necessary cookie (NEXT_LOCALE): purpose — remembering your chosen language (German/English); lifetime — until the browser session ends; attributes — SameSite=Lax, Secure on HTTPS. It contains no personal data and is not used for tracking. In the internal login area (/admin), additional technically necessary session cookies are set for our staff sign-in.
On your first visit, a cookie notice asks for your choice regarding two optional categories (Art. 45c lit. b of the Swiss Telecommunications Act, FMG). Declining is as easy as accepting; without your opt-in, none of these services load and no such cookies are set. Your choice is stored for 12 months locally in your browser (localStorage; it is not transmitted to us) and can be changed or withdrawn at any time via «Cookie settings» in the footer.
«Statistics» category: Plausible Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-friendly usage-statistics tool hosted in the EU — no cookies are set and no personal data or full IP addresses are stored. It runs only with your consent and only while the tool is technically activated on the site.
«Marketing» category – Google Ads conversion tracking (recipient: Google Ireland Ltd.; Google Consent Mode): with your consent, conversion cookies measure whether an ad led to an enquiry. It runs only with your consent and only while the tracking is technically activated on the site.
«Marketing» category – Meta pixel («Facebook pixel»; recipient: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Dublin): the pixel sets the cookies _fbp (lifetime 90 days per Meta) and _fbc (only if you reach the site via an ad). On page views and on defined events (comparison viewed, offer requested, enquiry sent) it transmits your IP address, browser and device information, the page visited and pseudonymous key figures of your input (canton, deductible, insurance model). Meta may link this data to an existing Facebook/Instagram account and also process it in the USA.
What the Meta pixel does NOT do here: we have switched off automatic advanced matching. The pixel therefore does not read form fields — your name, e-mail address, phone number and postcode are not transmitted to Meta, not even in hashed form. We also do not use server-side transmission (Conversions API).
Withdrawal takes effect immediately: if you deselect the «Marketing» category, we stop the measurement right away — no page reload needed — and delete the Meta cookies that were set. Without your opt-in none of these services load, no such cookies are set and no data is transmitted.
No automated individual decision-making
The calculator displays information only; no decisions with legal effect are taken exclusively by automated means (Art. 21 FADP).
